ON THE COURT: Top-Seeded Florida College defeated eighth-seeded Penn State Brandywine in two straight sets, 2-0 (25-19, 25-11), to start the tournament 1-0 in pool play. In a tightly contested first set, the Falcons were able to record 14 kills to give them the advantage over the Nittany Lions to take a 1-0 lead in the match. 

In a controlled second set, the Falcons were again able to take advantage of their efficient play as they recorded 11 kills for a .286 percentage. Throughout the entire match, Florida College had a total of 25 kills against the Nittany Lions.
