ON THE COURT: #1 Florida College opened up in CARC with a victory over #7 Concordia College-Alabama, 2-0 (25-22, 25-15), in the best of three sets.  In a back and forth first set, the Lady Falcons were able to take control in the latter parts of the set and finish strong to take a 1-0 lead over the Hornets.

In the second set, the Florida College began right where they left off in the first set as they jumped out to an early lead over the Crusaders.  Florida College would continue to have strong play from USCAA First Team All-American and Player of the Year, Malea Kalina.

QUICK HITTERS:

• USCAA Player of the Year, Malea Kalina, tallied a match high 9 kills. She also chipped in 3 digs
• Naomi Posada from Tennessee Temple led all players with 11 digs. 
• Second Team All-American, Abbey Rouch, scored a team high 21 assists
